Course Schedule 
Twice weekly evening workshop sessions from 7.00 – 9.30 pm for 5 months at Chengzhu Mandarin Centre.
Four class observations are arranged for each participant during the course to observe speech and drama sessions taught by experienced teachers.
Following the success of our Julia Gabriel Foundation Teaching Certificate in English, we now offer a programme for individuals who wish to learn how to teach Speech and Drama to children aged three to nine years old, in Mandarin. This five-month, part-time training course is conducted by senior educators from Chengzhu Mandarin Centre (Julia Gabriel Education’s Mandarin enrichment centre).
The programme involves twice weekly evening workshop sessions each week (2½ hours per session) at Chengzhu Mandarin Centre to introduce participants to the theory and practice of teaching Speech and Drama to young children. Additional class observations are also arranged during the course to observe Speech and Drama sessions taught by our experienced Mandarin educators.
Candidates must be clear, fluent Standard Mandarin speakers in order to be accepted onto the course. All applicants will attend an admission interview before being offered a place on the programme.
Participants who would prefer to begin with a shorter course can opt to take Engaging Young Children Through Drama (Mandarin). If an individual completes the shorter course and subsequently decides to take the full Julia Gabriel Foundation Teaching Certificate (Mandarin Speech & Drama) programme, they will be exempted from sessions in the earlier part of that teaching certificate programme (with fees adjusted accordingly).
