PlayClub

18 months – 3 years

As toddlers gain the confidence to explore more widely, PlayClub is all about fostering growing self-control and autonomy. This dynamic programme for children and adults serves as a bridge between home and
school as we all enjoy a range of interactive, dramatic and highly creative tasks together.

Speech & Drama

Nursery 1 & 2

Our specialist educators lead young children through age-appropriate stories, music, drama, and games, focusing on language-in-action. Learning becomes as natural and engaging as play. Inquiry-based learning helps children build confidence, independence, social skills, and expressive communication skills. At New Bahu we run separate N1 and N2 speech and drama classes.

I Love Reading

Nursery 2

Children develop reading readiness through drama activities based on Julia Gabriel’s The Alphabet Zoo book. By making connections between letters and sounds and expanding their vocabulary, they learn to use language creatively, fostering all the skills needed to become interested and successful readers. The key benefits for our Nursery 2 children include recognising and reading letters confidently, increased phonetic and phonemic awareness, enhanced fine motor skills, improved social skills, and greater confidence in tackling tasks independently.

Let’s Read and Write

Kindergarten 2

Our Readers & Writers programme for Kindergarten 1 students focuses on improving written and oral expression by developing communication, listening, literacy, cognitive, fine motor, and creative skills. By engaging with carefully selected fiction and non-fiction texts, children develop an interest in reading and writing from a very young age. Understanding both verbal and written instructions, as well as sharing their own thoughts and ideas about stories, are important aspects of this programme.
