Free trial classes

For children aged 6 months to 9 years

June Open House 2026

27 – 28 June 2026 | 9.00 am – 5.30 pm

For over three decades, Julia Gabriel Centre has nurtured generations of children to think with clarity, speak with confidence, and express themselves with ease.

We believe that learning goes beyond academic achievement. It is about shaping how a child communicates, connects, and grows. Through our programmes, children develop confidence in self-expression, a strong foundation in language, and the ability to engage meaningfully with the world around them—skills that support them in school and beyond.

This June, we invite you to experience our approach firsthand and discover how these foundations can support your child’s development at every stage.

Enjoy a guided introduction to the Julia Gabriel approach in a warm and engaging environment. Children will take part in a trial class led by our specialist educators—thoughtfully designed to build confidence, encourage participation, and spark a genuine interest in language.

At the same time, parents will gain clear insight into how our programmes support each stage of development —from early language exposure, to structured literacy, and onwards to confident communication in the primary years.

PlayNest

6 months – 18 months

Supporting your child’s sense of security and well-being is crucial in their early development. That’s why we focus on providing expert care, ensuring each child is guided through every stage of their growth with our carefully designed accompanied programmes. Through engaging activities like singing, music, puppetry, art and craft, and both structured and free play, we create a dynamic and safe environment where your child can confidently explore and naturally develop their language skills.

PlayClub

18 months – 3 years

As toddlers become more confident in exploring their world, PlayClub emphasises the development of their growing independence and self-regulation. This lively programme serves as a bridge between home and school, offering engaging activities such as role play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and music and movement. These interactive tasks stimulate the imagination while supporting language development, social skills, and emotional growth —providing families with valuable opportunities to bond and learn together.

Drama &
Communication
Programmes

Speech & Drama

Nursery 1 & 2

In this engaging core programme, our passionate educators guide young children through a mix of storytelling, music, movement, drama, and interactive games, all with a focus on active language development. Play is seamlessly woven into the learning process, allowing children to build confidence, independence, and strong communication skills as they express themselves creatively.

Kindergarten 1 & 2

This Speech & Drama programme immerses preschoolers in high-quality literature, including poetry and prose, to foster their creative and cognitive growth. Kindergarten 2 students also work towards earning the Trinity College London Young Performers Certificate, developing cooperation, creativity, and communication skills through process drama. Along the way, children develop valuable coping strategies to help them transition confidently into Primary 1.

Speech Communication Arts

Primary 1 – 3

In Primary 1 to 3, children progressively develop confident and
expressive communication skills through drama, speech activities, and interactive literacy tasks. At each stage, they work towards the Trinity College London Speech Communication Arts assessment, which helps them improve their ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and express their ideas clearly. The programme includes creating and telling their own stories, learning how to plan and organise their ideas, and exploring different books to enhance their comprehension and language skills. Through these activities, children also gain the confidence to give short presentations on a chosen topic, and express themselves in front of an audience.

I Love Reading

Nursery 1 and 2

Children develop their reading readiness through drama activities inspired by Julia Gabriel’s The Alphabet Zoo book. By linking letters to their corresponding sounds and broadening their vocabulary, children engage with language in a fun and imaginative way. These activities help them develop the essential skills needed to become enthusiastic and confident readers.

Let’s Read and Write

Kindergarten 1 & 2

Educators provide personalised support to each child as they develop their reading and writing skills through engaging, hands-on activities. From exploring different types of texts to confidently applying grammar in their writing.

Think N’ Ink

Primary 1 – 3

In the early primary years, it’s essential to balance nurturing a love for learning with preparing children for academic challenges. Think N’ Ink for P1 to P3 helps students appreciate a variety of text types, reading them with fluency and understanding. Students learn how to decode texts, identify main ideas and supporting details, and confidently answer comprehension questions. The programme also develops strong composition skills, encouraging children to express ideas creatively and clearly. In an enjoyable, stress-free environment, students emerge as confident readers and writers, ready for the PSLE and beyond.
