Chiltern House Philosophy
We aim for each child to look forward to coming every day to experience the adventure and excitement of learning and friendship. Our programme is based on creating the ideal learning components of warmth, a stimulating environment, motivating activities and experienced, specialised teachers as models for growth.

Chiltern House has a commitment to the care and growth of each child as a whole and unique person. We wish to build on his or her natural interest in learning and to foster his or her fascination with the world. To this end we aim to provide first class care and a curriculum that answers the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and aesthetic needs of the preschooler. Through a sequentially built acquisition of skills we aim to facilitate easy entry to Primary 1 at age six.
We believe that the potential to learn is maximised by direct experience, when discovery is real and concrete. Chiltern House gives children opportunities to explore, to experiment individually and to make discoveries through work and through play.
We recognise and foster the important parental and family role in early childhood. Parents are an integral part of our community and are involved in activities as much as possible.
Chiltern House is committed to providing for the integration of children with additional needs. We appreciate the individual attributes and abilities of each child at his or her own level of development. All our children are given the opportunity to grow and to learn in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and affection, in their own time and in their own unique way.
