Chiltern House Kindergarten 2

Kindergarten 2The final year of kindergarten is for children between the ages of 5 and 6. Each class is run by an English teacher and a teaching assistant. Mandarin classes in Kindergarten 2 are conducted for an hour daily.

Themes

Chiltern House has a thematic curriculum. Most of the activities revolve around different themes each term. Other areas like maths, science and literacy are also integrated into the theme to provide a holistic learning experience. The Kindergarten 2 themes are:

Term 2: Enviroment
Term 3: Singapore
Term 4: Media

In Kindergarten 2, the children learn about:

  • Simple graphs

  • Count to 100 in 1’s, 10s
  • Count in two’s

Our Programmes:

Holiday Programmes

Chiltern House follows the Singapore School system of four terms. The formal educational programme runs for 10 weeks after which the centre conducts holiday programmes.

These programmes are included in the school fees and no additional cost is required from the parents. This programme is run by the centre’s Teaching Support Team. Each informal programme centres around either a book or a particular theme. Children participate in various fun activities such as art and craft and cookery. It is a time for the children to relax and have fun before the next term begins. The duration of each informal programme is as follows:
March 1 week
May / June 4 weeks
September 1 week
November / December 4 weeks
