Chiltern House Kindergarten 1

Kindergarten 1 is for children between the ages of 4 and 5. Each class is run by an English teacher and a teaching assistant with the Mandarin classes conducted by visiting teachers as well.

Themes

Kindergarten 1 classes have one theme per term, each spanning 10 weeks.

Term 1: Water • Weather
Term 2: Transportation • Occupations
Term 3: Dinosaurs • Minibeasts
Term 4: Fantasy

Learning Centre

The children are encouraged to explore each learning centre in the classroom during activity and free play time. While the children are busy at the centres of their choice (maths, art, science, writing and computer centre, to name a few), the teachers will move among the centres, observing the children, guiding and helping them should they need any assistance.
