Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning has a team of over 200 skilled professionals dedicated to education and communication: teachers of voice, speech, drama, literature, early childhood educators, musicians, linguists, speech and language therapists.

How we came
about

In 1983 Julia returned to Singapore with qualifications from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and the London College of Music, to open a small teaching studio which grew to become Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama Centre in 1990.

Who is Julia
Gabriel?

Julia is a teacher, an accom-plished story-teller, performer, speaker and lecturer who has written and recorded educational TV programmes for the Ministry of Education in Singapore. In 1993, the Lord Mayor of London awarded Julia life membership of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Milestones

  • 1980 Julia Gabriel starts teaching in England.
  • 1990 Julia Gabriel Speech & Drama Centre opens.
  • 1998 Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama Centre Forum opens.
  • 2001 Chiltern House Turf Club Road opens. JGCL teacher-training programme initiated with PAP Community Foundation (Pasir Ris GRC).
  • 2002 Julia Gabriel Centre Delhi opens.
